About We Women Want

We Women Want is the only weekly televised show dedicated to women in India. Aired on NewsX, it picks up issues that affect everyday lives — celebrating winners and finding solutions for those in need. The show has become a weekend destination for women of all ages.

Across 156 half-hour episodes, we have discussed laws that help women and those that don't, domestic violence, breast cancer, IVF, single mothers, work-life balance, relationships, fashion, body shaming, acid attack victims, women in the armed services, women on OTT, women in politics, sexual harassment and more.

Through the We Women Want Conclave & Shakti Awards, we recognise and felicitate women achievers. Our Chief Guests have included Smt. Smriti Irani, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Devendra Fadnavis, Arif Mohammad Khan, Atishi, Eknath Shinde, Anurag Thakur, Kiran Bedi and Tamilsai Soundarajan. The platform brings together celebrities, professionals, women from the armed forces, authors, chefs, designers, scientists, entrepreneurs and community leaders for engaging discussions and debates.

About The Shakti Awards

Instituted in 2021, the Shakti Awards recognise women of steel from all walks of life. They honour women achievers who, through their leadership and extraordinary life stories, have led lasting social impact across India.

Presented as part of the We Women Want Conclave, the awards celebrate grit, grace and greatness — from grassroots changemakers to national icons. Each edition brings together voices that challenge stereotypes, inspire courage and push the conversation on women’s empowerment forward.

Through the course of 7 award ceremonies, acid attack survivors, women in the police, navy & air force have been recognised. Awardees have included fisherwomen, drone didis, ASHA workers, Lakhpati didis, women’s rights activists, women in railways, women auto drivers, women entrepreneurs, designers, business leaders, content creators and Bollywood A-listers. The awards continue to shine a light on stories that matter — and the women who make them possible.
